You'll learn how to arrange a balanced still life, capture mood through color, and use loose, intuitive brushwork. You will also learn how to paint with oils using a wet on wet technique. This retreat encourages play, exploration, and embracing imperfection-because the magic lies in capturing the moment, not getting it "just right."

I’m Laura, a California-based oil painter who found my way into art through a love of travel, gathering around the table, and wanting to hold onto meaningful moments a little longer. Today I paint vibrant, intuitive tablescapes inspired by special experiences and everyday beauty. I’m endlessly inspired by color, good conversation, and human connection.
